Crypto Marketing: Litecoin Foundation to Sponsor Ultimate Fighting Championship [UFC]

The Litecoin Foundation has partnered with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), one of the leading martial arts organizations to promote crypto adoption and by the way, this is the first crypto sponsor for a UFC event.

The deal is that litecoin logo would be displayed on the octagonal fighting canvas at an upcoming event called UFC 232 in which it will be taking place on Dec. 29 in California. – a rematch between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and light heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson.

Through this approach, Litecoin Foundation believes that “millions of viewers” at such events would help raise global awareness and drive interest in litecoin.

Hoping to continue the UFC partnership in the longer term, Litecoin (a.k.a silver coin when we assume “BTC” as gold) ) stated that,

“With brands and institutions continuing to push into cryptocurrency and blockchain, this is yet another signal of this technology moving closer towards the mainstream,”

And added,

“We view this sponsorship as the first step to what will hopefully be a long and fruitful relationship with UFC. We look forward to the possibility of doing some amazing things with this incredible organization.”

Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, tweeted:

“Excited to announce that the Litecoin logo will be on the canvas as the Official Cryptocurrency Partner of @UFC 232 on 12/29 in Inglewood CA!”

In the company’s official blog post, it was mentioned that,

“Over the last 25 years, UFC… has evolved from a tiny grassroots movement to a global phenomenon, largely based on the extremely passionate community… We see many parallels to Litecoin in this way as our amazing community has been instrumental in our growth and providing unwavering passion and enthusiasm that continues to propel us forward.”
