Twitter temporarily banned the handle of Space X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, after the billionaire posted a tweet asking people to buy Bitcoin. Musk’s tweet was in response to a user’s query about a two-factor authentication on the earlier tweet of his.
Musk tweeted, “Wanna buy some Bitcoin?”, with a picture of an anime character having the bitcoin symbol on her torso.
Twitter is one of three Internet Giants, along with Facebook and Google that have refused to reverse their bans on cryptocurrency adverts.
Musk later tweeted confirming the ban, saying that Twitter assumed that his account got hacked and thereby locked his account.
There is no clarification as to the reason or duration for disabling Musk’s account, though the matter has been resolved now.
Elon Musk has spoken about cryptocurrency on Twitter and even publicly reached out to Dogecoin creator Jackson Palmer about finding solutions to get rid of Twitter scammers.
